 Pensacola is located in far northwest Florida, near the Alabama border. The place has about 50,000 inhabitants and is known for the largest naval aviation base of the US Navy, which is home to the well-known military air show squadron "Blue Angels". Established by the Spaniards in 1559, the outpost was one of the oldest European settlements in what is now the United States. Pensacola is also known as the "City of Five Flags" Known for the area's turbulent history with Spain, Great Britain, France, the Confederates and finally the belonged to USA. |
