San Pedro de Atacama (Chile)
Natürlich habe ich mich also auch ein wenig astronomisch betätigt... |
San Pedro de Atacama is well known to every North Chile traveler. Here life is pulsating and the small town is full of tourists and obvious dropouts. The beautiful landscape and the many tourist highlights make San Pedro a perfect starting point for countless tours - and the altitude of 2.400m is ideal for acclimatising to even higher altitudes in the Andes. San Pedro was also the starting point for our trip to Argentina and Bolivia ... By the way, San Pedro is probably also one of the world's best places for astronomy - not for nothing the earth largest observatories are located in the Atacama desert. The dry climate, few clouds and virtually no precipitation paired with a very sparsely populated area make the perfect conditions for a very dark (southern) sky. Of course, I also did a bit astronomy ... |
