 The north of Madeira is considered to be wetter and rougher than the southern half, which was also confirmed during our visit. Due to a constant north current, the clouds from the north have often accumulated on the high mountains in the middle of Madeira. This has meant that the north coast has been cooler, windy and cloudier, while the sun was shining brightly in the southern hemisphere. Nevertheless, the landscape is breathtaking. |
